The Pastor's Pen, Feb. 24, 2010, Dr. Chester Wayne Harrison

Revelation 19: 6—7…..6 And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth. 7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honor to Him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and His wife hath made herself ready. In the above Scripture we find John the revelator hearing the praises of the heavenly hosts, for the Bridegroom, who is about to receive His bride, who has now made herself ready. This reminds us of how important it is to be ready when the opportunity to serve our Lord is presented to us. In just a few short weeks, if the Lord tarries His coming, we will have the opportunity to experience a revival meeting here at F.B.C. Our theme for this meeting is JESUS LOVES YOU, CAMDEN. The dates for this meeting is March 28—31. With these special days so quickly approaching it is vital that we are ready. This is a good opportunity to use your 10x10 commitment to invite your friends and neighbors to join you in a time of worship and the study of God’s Word.

Getting ready for revival means that you get your heart ready to receive the blessings that God has reserved just for you. Prayer, without question, is a very important part of your preparation, but so is being involved in the opportunities to minister, too. On Saturday, March 27, from 11:00 to 1:00 we will reach out to our community with a BOWL OF BLESSINGS. We want to offer the hungry in our community a hot bowl of soup and a place to fellowship with folks who care. For more information about this special ministry call the church office. One more thing that I would like to ask you. Please, remember me and a brother from Virginia named Rick, as we go to Niger for an opportunity to reach out to those folks with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. My being there is the same as F.B.C. reaching out to a lost and dying world with the Good News, Jesus.   Remember, this is who we are . . . REACHING UP TO     JESUS . . . REACHING OUT TO THE WORLD!!! Glenda and I love y’all.
